Terms and Safety
Paddle Today helps with trip planning, but paddling has inherent risks and river conditions change quickly. Always make your own go or no-go decision before paddling.
Safety
Use your judgment
- Paddling can involve serious injury or death, including from cold water, strainers, dams, weather, fast current, missed take-outs, and access mistakes.
- Scores, forecasts, gauge reads, route notes, and AI summaries are informational planning aids, not safety advice, professional instruction, or a guarantee that a route is safe.
- Water levels, strainers, construction, weather, access conditions, closures, hazards, and take-outs can change without notice or be reported incorrectly.
- You are responsible for checking official sources, local rules, weather, access status, hazards, take-outs, skill fit, gear, and group readiness before launching.
- Wear appropriate safety equipment and do not paddle beyond your ability or conditions.
Service
Availability and accuracy
Paddle Today is provided as-is. We work to keep route information useful and current, but we do not guarantee that any score, forecast, location, access point, route note, warning, or recommendation is complete, accurate, timely, legal to use, safe, or suitable for your trip.
Emergency
Not a monitoring or rescue service
Paddle Today is not an emergency, rescue, dispatch, or real-time safety monitoring service. If you are on the water or planning a trip, use official sources, local authorities, and emergency services when needed.
Submissions
Route reports and photos
If you submit route reports, corrections, photos, or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it and allow Paddle Today to use it to operate, improve, and promote the service. Do not submit content that is unlawful, misleading, unsafe, or infringes someone else's rights.
