  American Whitewater rates this nearly continuous Class IV reach and warns about logs, a river-wide log dam, a waterfall near Quartz Creek, and a consequential final drop near the Johnson Creek confluence. Confirm snowmelt, road opening, water temperature, current wood, and same-day trend before driving to Yellow Pine.
