  • Hebron Parkway is the first public downstream take-out and has a kayak launch; do not treat private banks between the endpoints as casual stops.
  • LLELA requires any vehicle left at its parking area to be retrieved before closing, and after-hours admission is not available for a missed shuttle.
  • This route uses LLELA's conservative 80-600 cfs public guidance for scoring. Above 600 cfs is swift-water territory for experienced paddlers; above 3,000 cfs boating is closed.

  • Strong dam-tailwater current just below LLELA, especially after release changes.
  • The tree hazard past the trestle bridge flagged on LLELA's current-conditions page.
  • Strainers, fallen trees, bank erosion, and fresh wood after storms.
  • Low-water dragging or shallow bars below about 80 cfs, plus fast pushy current above the 600 cfs public caution point.
  • Camping and access limits: campsites are designated-only, there are no riverbank campsites, and no swimming or wading is allowed at LLELA.
