- Treat Hagge-to-White-Horse as the downstream part of DNR's Sac City-to-White-Horse section, which DNR rates for at least intermediate paddlers because of long distance, rock dams, and logjams.
- White Horse has a cement boat ramp, but the rock dam at White Horse is runnable only by experienced paddlers at decent water levels. Plan to take out there unless scouting clearly supports a separate downstream route.
