  • Montgomery Park is the intended finish, not just a backup carry. Do not assume the nearby PFBC Danville ramp or private banks make the route interchangeable on the fly.
  • Broad-river wind can erase much of the easy-current feel, especially if you launch late or take a relaxed pace downstream.

  • Bloomsburg stages above about 4 to 6 ft, when current gets faster and the longer open-water miles feel less forgiving for novice groups.
  • Headwind, thunderstorms, floating wood, flooded trees after rain, and muddy footing at Montgomery Park after recent high water.
