- Big Thicket says sandbar camping is allowed on Village Creek, but this route still works best as a planned day float unless you have a clear overnight plan and are comfortable managing rising water risk.
- This route uses a conservative minimum-only threshold, not a full ideal-range recommendation. If the gauge is below about 200 cfs, expect more scraping, wood dodging, and slow travel.
