Short middle-gorge Cumberland split from Long Bottom Access to Thunderstruck Ramp above Cumberland Falls. The current KDFWR route map gives the exact 2.5-mile ramp-to-ramp distance and uses the same direct Williamsburg gauge with the official 500 to 1,100 cfs preferred band.

Launch at Long Bottom and take out at Thunderstruck for the short middle split on the official Cumberland-above-the-falls chain. The mileage is modest, but the rough put-in, shoals, and remote setting still make it a moving-water route.

Long Bottom AccessLong Bottom is a real public access, but KDFWR says the final road approach is extremely rugged and best suited to high-clearance four-wheel-drive vehicles.
Take-out
Thunderstruck RampThunderstruck is the intended finish. KDFWR warns it is easy to miss once you drop through Thunderstruck Shoals unless you are watching the left bank closely.
Road shuttle
Stage the Thunderstruck vehicle first, then drive back to Long Bottom. Scout both accesses before launching because Long Bottom is a rough carry-down and Thunderstruck is easy to miss if you drift past the left-bank ramp.
