Launch at Redbird Ramp and take out at Thunderstruck for the first official upstream Cumberland Falls float. Use the Williamsburg gauge and treat water above the 1,100 cfs preferred band as a more technical skilled-paddler day.

Redbird RampRedbird and Thunderstruck are the clean public endpoints. Long Bottom and Mouth of Indian Creek are route-context accesses only and are not dependable normal shuttle points.

Thunderstruck RampThe float is remote enough that daylight, weather, and group self-rescue capacity matter more than on a town-edge run.
Road shuttle
Stage the Thunderstruck take-out first, then drive back to Redbird on KY 204 and KY 478. Do not count on Long Bottom or Mouth of Indian Creek as routine shuttle points because KDFWR describes those roads as extremely rough.

- Same-day USGS flow on this run was above the official preferred band, so expect a firmer-water gorge day than a lower-band outing.
