- Rain can raise the Eleven Point quickly, and fresh wood or blind-bend strainers matter more on this upper section because easy exits are limited between Cane Bluff and Greer Crossing.
- Use only the published Forest Service accesses and keep the shuttle conservative. Greer Spring adds colder, faster water near the finish, and the rural road network is not a good substitute for a planned take-out.
