Johnsonville Fire Department / Highway JM accessDo not launch above or run the Johnsonville low-head dam. Carry below it from the fire-station parking area and inspect the smaller downstream ledge before launching.
Take-out
Dassow Park river accessHighway J and Highway M are WRT-listed alternate access points, but parking and bank conditions are less formal than Dassow Park. Verify before using them as bailouts.
Road shuttle
Stage Dassow Park first, then drive back to the public parking lot by the Johnsonville fire station. WRT notes a hilly but practical 3-mile bike shuttle with light traffic.

- Neither endpoint has a full-service outfitter or facilities. Set the shuttle and backup contact before launching.

- At and below the accepted floor, expect scraping, bumpy riffles, and occasional wading. High water can drown the riffles and make the dam area and bends more consequential.
- Use named public access only. WRT notes factory, farm, and private-bank context along the upper reach, and neither endpoint has full facilities.
