- The Eleven Point corridor includes private lands under scenic easement. Do not assume banks away from public accesses, designated float camps, or legal gravel-bar stops are public.

- A full-day commitment, slow shoals and occasional scraping when the Bardley gauge is near the 300 cfs floor, and wind or fatigue on the long middle miles.
- Mary Decker Shoal early in the route, then cold spring-fed water, fresh wood, blind bends, and rapid rises after rain.
- Halls Bay near the end of the route, weekend traffic, and motorized users under the 25 hp limit.
